Awarded – 5th December, 2015 at the Club Christmas Event.
Kingsley saw a need for those interested in photography to meet regularly and to encourage their enjoyment of photography.
As such he founded the club in June, 2006.
Kingsley is the owner and creator of PhotoCoffee (location of the first Club Meetings) and is a fully accredited AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) member.

He has also contributed many years of teaching / advising and judging for the local PhotoVoice Competition, an initiative that follows ‘Act-Belong-Commit’ – a mental health initiative.
Kingsley was a previous President of the West Australian Photographic Federation (twice) – WAPF
Kingsley has held the role of Vice President and Webmaster since the clubs inception therefore not only guiding the club but promoting the photography of members, events and workshops organised by the club.  He has been the driving force within the club; his professional knowledge given freely and his dedication and support to our members has established the Rockingham Photography Club as one of the  eminent clubs in the WAPF.  His guidance has also encouraged a number of our members to become professional and establish their own business.
No greater compliment may be given than to have the knowledge that one has given direction and confidence to others to pursue and achieve a goal in life and truly enjoy the journey.
This is why our club proudly honored Kingsley Klau with the first Life Membership to the Rockingham Photography Club.

Club President – 2006-2008

Awarded – 3rd December, 2016 at the Club Christmas Event.

Pete was the first Club President and has been a selfless, thoughtful and tremendous contributor to the Club. He has maintained his membership since joining very soon after the Club was formed in 2006, and since then has been a familiar, encouraging and valued member of the Club. Pete was chosen as a Life Member, not only for the above attributes, but for the many unselfish contributions he has made to the Club. He has participated at the many outings, exhibitions and promotional events the Club has arranged. His demeanor is one of giving – he was always the one who put his camera down to help other members to further their skills – thus helping them improve and learn. He has also contributed to Club by entering his images to most competitions – thus allowing the Club to attain winning stature in competitions such as the WAPF Inter-Club competitions like ‘Print West‘ locally with the PhotoVoice competition (a multiple winner).

His cheerful nature ensures members and new members are made to feel at home, a real and genuine community Member helping to provide a positive and meaningful atmosphere within club events.

Congratulations Peter.

Pete loves a good cuppa and piece of cake (just in case he drops in!!)

She was the President of the Melville Camera Club 2010

“There are people who make things happen,

there are people who watch things happen, and there are people who wonder what happened”.

Thelma “Makes Things Happen” and for that the Rockingham Photography Club should be proud and thankful for the awarding of a Life Membership.
